It appears by the defensive posture taken in response to JT's "quality control" message that you really only want one answer to your problem.
I do not think JT was saying that it was an error in search or invoice but that out of all the many things we all should check before starting any search; we should also include an incorrect abstractor name on that list.
A 30 second phone call after noticing ANY discrepancies on an order could save alot of trouble, including if it said ABC abstracting and you know you are CBA Abstracting.
For future orders it will be safer for you to check over everything on an order including company names before taking such a long trip.
