Your truth as a defense might be lost at the "evil management" part.  Honestly I'm not trying to pick a fight here but I'm often surprised at some of the statements made here.  Do you honestly think that any title company just doesn't want to pay their abstractors for the hell of it?  Ok..there might be a small percentage out there but most are caught in the same situation I am right now- I just can't print money and I can't make these orders close.  Now I know that I am responsible for the payment because I ordered the service but don't you all think we should work together?  You can sue, you can blacklist but in the end all you are doing is putting the independent agent out of business and leaving yourself in a position where a few national companies will dictate your price and terms.  I could really go on for quite awhile but is there any point?
