Minnesota has a licensing requirement for Abstractors (testing, which is a shock for MN since most licenses only require a fee and, as Scott said the ability to fog a mirror). Unfortunately, like most other things here, it is not enforced, so there are MANY people abstracting out there that have absolutely no clue as to what they are doing. It is extremely difficult to compete with these non-licensed abstractors and many vendor management companies have no clue that it is a requirement in MN, nor do they care.
