I think you are right Jay.  Sometimes I need someone to reel me in.  When I wrote this post last night it was late and I was on a rant.  In hindsight I too believe that the shakeout has only just begun.  Early next spring will most likely render a more accurate reading of this industry's fever.

The other thing I probably ought to say, which I know I don't say enough, is that I DO HAVE GOOD CLIENTS.  I have clients that NEVER ask me to rush an order, NEVER miss a payment, NEVER ask me to reduce my fees, NEVER outsource their work to India, and NEVER give all their electronic searches to an Internet team, leaving me to do the complicated stuff for the reduced fee.  And some of those clients ARE national companies.  So, to those clients (and you know who you are), I thank you for helping me to keep my profession professional and allowing me to provide you with an excellent product and efficient service at a fair price.
