Judging from the tone of some of your responses, it's obvious that I've touched more than a few exposed nerves. My post was meant as constructive criticism. Sometimes it's better to slap a hand than to hold it.
Posting warnings about non-paying clients is one thing, but it always seems that a handful of the same individuals are the ones doing most of the posting. Maybe if some of you were a little more selective about whom you work for instead of biting off more than you can chew, you wouldn't have to worry about so many deadbeats. There's a big difference between warning and whining.
