For several years in Minnesota, someone had the brilliant idea to give condo units and their respective parking spaces separate tax identification numbers.  I cannot tell you how many of those parking spaces were missed by abstractors, since it was an oddity.  Thankfully, new condos do not have that weirdness associated with them, but if you are not looking closely to see that the tax ID number covers the condo only, it can be BIG problems.
