I WORKED IN THE DELINQUENT REAL ESTATE DEPARTMENT OF OUR COUNTY FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND HELPED PERFORM SOME OF THE TAX SALES. IN KANSAS, THE REDEMPTION PERIOD ENDS THE DAY BEFORE THE TAX SALE. THE OWNER FORECLOSED ON HAS 1 YEAR FROM THE DAY OF SALE TO HAVE THE SALE SET ASIDE. THE ONLY REASONS I HAVE SEEN FOR A SALE TO BE SET ASIDE WAS EIITHER THE JUDGE FELT IT WAS A HARDSHIP ON THE OWNER, OR THAT SERVICE HAD NOT BEEN MADE ON ALL THE HEIRS AND OR OWNERS. THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN.
