There is a coalition that is forming to put an end to this as exists today, before the problems of fraud become too large. It's in it's infancy, but will be running full steam within a matter of a few more months.

There's actually plenty of legal precedence which puts the onus on county records offices to safeguard against AI scraping and major data warehousing in bulk of records.

The efforts will be multi-pronged across different levels of government, but the majority of push will be upon county records offices to make the technical changes necessary to safeguard citizens records... not from public access, but from technologies that turn public records into fraud and insecurity treasure troves.to post a reply:
