Searchtec was always a great company to work for. They always paid on time. My problem was after 15+ years the work completely stopped. Period. Boom. Turns out they started doing their work inhouse for the counties I covered. That's ok but they gave the abstractor no warning. Not a heads up to loyal workers who, in some cases, depended on them for rent, utilities, etc. You might think it wasn't necessary for them to contact their loyal abstractors with long years of service. I think it's the decent thing to do. One of the reasons we find this country in dire straits is because we don't think about the other guy anymore.
