She inquired about "build an application for her to generate Tax reports" and her title is "Founder & CEO", it's a company or startup in DE. I quoted her $400.
It's possible her budget or intended price was something between $200 and $300 since she referenced my Title Report tool, which is $200. But for her Tax Reports app, I would almost have to start from scratch, hence, the $400 quote instead of $200. She could just say, "Don, it's kind of pricey for us, could you make it $300 something?" instead of alleging emergency meeting bla bla.
Lesson learned for myself: If a prospect didn't show a clear commitment upon third interaction/encounter, drop it, and forget it.
Oh well, I'll cut her some slack, hope she'll modify her behavior otherwise, I don't think her business would fly.
