To answer your question, I am neither a title agent nor do I work for one of the software companies. I am not trying to hide my employer, but I want to make it clear that I do not speak for them in any way. the easiest way to do that is to not mention them at all. I work with title agents, especially with respect to the technology needs. I am also an examiner and my organization does vendor out abstract requests.
A direction that you may want to look at, although it would have many challenges, would be to 'bridge' between your title abstractor tool and the existing software packages. If the information sent by the abstractor could upload directly into the agent's commitment, it would save time and energy. This is the current complaint with abstractors (rightly so) about being asked to use the form of the person who hired them. If you made an interface to solve the issue, both sides would be happy.
