I have completed a few projects over the last few years; however, they have been using our company more lately.  I have cut them off; because, they want to dictate what they will pay on a project.  It does not matter what the invoice states.  They will approve what ever quote you provide.  It does not matter if you have a fee sheet. They will promise you anything just to get the work completed for their client.  They have a great deal of document retrievals (which they pay little or nothing for) and have the assumption that you either live next door to the courthouse or have "everything" online.  Online systems are not free in most states and all documents have not been indexed or scanned in the computer system.  That does not matter.  Don't do work for them.
