I just received an email from First American, NPS, Vendor Management...which states that they now require all of their vendors to obtain background checks through Sterling Backchecks...I have worked for them for many years and have been in business over 20 years...This is the first time I've ever had this request...I am a Notary Public and a Paralegal ... and value my credentials....

 I am not a criminal...except in the eyes of 2 ex-husbands, possibly...and I view this demand as an invasion of privacy...and an invitation to identity theft.....

Any thoughts on this matter...?
