"Halo" and "Revelations" was supposedly Christian-based, too.  We all know that's about as far from the truth as you can get since they played a shell game as long as they could.

I do not accept vendor contracts or orders that have a "late and we don't pay" clause.  READ THE CONTRACTS SOME OF THESE COMPANIES SEND YOU.  A lot of them are altisource-like outrageous and I either tell them "no thank you" or just cross out offensive/ridiculous language and THEN sign it.

Let us know the name of the company you're dealing with (or post on Abstractor Watchdog anonymously).  I use AbWatch as my deadbeat client alert.  I send e-mail deadbeat alerts to both my abstractors and my competitors in Michigan -- none of us deserve to be treated that way.  I know that if I cut someone off, they're going to go straight to the people I utilize or to another fellow vendor manager.  I figure sending out the alerts is a way to help others from being hurt.
