I am not putting blame entirely on American companies. The blame also lays with the title industry for over charging for their services. We the title industry have forced lenders to look for cheaper fees by not adapting to newer changes. Today's consumer now can obtain a loan on the internet or television. One of the lenders major selling point is reduced or no settlement cost. So therefore if the lender is paying for the closing cost, why wouldn't they seek lower fees.
Hackers aren't interested in hacking into a land record online site. There is no financial gain for them. All the information is already available for free.
Yes the overseas company are doing their own searches, because the title industry wants to charge $100 for a current owner. Its cheaper for them to pay for the online subscription than pay that over priced fee.
They are going to take over the title search unless we adapt to the new changes in the industry, Lower fees are what lender want. I agree five, ten and fifteen dollars is just to low.
Damn right I am doing work for them, they are paying the bills. This not bashing the US. I served for my country, love my country and would die for my country. DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR.
