"Starting Friday, November 15, 2013, an ordinance passed by the City of Lynn (MA) requires those filing for foreclosures against property located in Lynn to produce a *Right to Cure* letter to the mortgagor. These letters which are required under MGL Chapter 244, Section 35A are filed with the Land Court in order for a Order of Notice to be issued.

If the Right to Cure letter is dated on or after June 17, 2013 the Right to Cure letter must ALSO be accompanied by a Certificate of Mediation Completion issued by the City of Lynn in order for the foreclosure deed to be recorded.

The Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds will not accept foreclosure documents for recordation that do not comply with the City of Lynn Ordinance."
