I hope you didn't pay any tax on the "fake 1099" they sent you.
You should contact the IRS and inform them of the "fraud" being carried on by this firm.
They maybe also are claiming a business expense on their IRS filings for the amount listed on
the "fake 1099's", which is tax fraud. Report them to the IRS, you have their business name and their Fed Id # on the 1099 form. Do you do your own taxes, or did you not tell your accountant about the error on the 1099 form?
