It has actually never occured to me to ask my abstractor to do a Patriot Act search for me.  That is something that we do in our office using the web-site that John posted.   And, as John stated, our underwriters do provide that same link to us.  

We are also required to run a seperate search to determine whether our parties (buyer and sellers) are in an active or have had a recent prior bankruptcy.  I have never asked my abstractor to run that search either, but, hey, I think you guys just gave me an idea !
