Suzi: They were just part of a chain of title with a starting date of around 1930. Elderly lady's signature went from meandering across the page to straight, firm, upright handwriting, that actually didn't really look like her handwriting on any of the earlier mortgages. I don't look for forgery - it's not something I have the expertise to do, but this was so obvious that I had to bring it to the attorney's attention. The docs were notarized - & all by the same NP.
