Rich Bank, Poor Bank

A title company failed in an attempt to cure a title to satisfy a bank's title claim, but inadvertently saved itself hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process, due to an ambiguous clause in the title policy that was bypassed.  On another nearly identical claim, the title company did not attempt to cure, and wasn't so lucky.
