Over the years we have run into similar situations.  It is so appalling to me that there are people who think this way.  Maybe we feel the way we do because we are abstractors!!  Most of our clients have never stepped a foot in the court house & have no idea what it takes to do the work we do.  Some of these companies actually train & expect their employees to act this way. Sad but true.  I have refused to do work for those that try to make me think that they run my business, & that I am dependent on them.   On the other hand, I do have some wonderful clients.  As long as we tell them up front what the problem is they are very understanding.  I would bend over backward to help these clients out.  To me it is all about mutual respect, loyalty & just being a descent human being.
