High-Priced Deed Scam Continues

County recorders across the country have long been warning their constituents that they do not need to pay companies exorbitant prices to obtain a copy of their deed.  These companies send out misleading solicitations offering to obtain a copy of homeowners' deeds for $87 or more.  Despite several complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and several attorneys general, the marketing continues.
