If you are interested, here's the case-- First Bank v. East West Bank.  Like Robert said, it's a California case.  And in the interest of brevity, I did not include some caveats that were expanded upon by the court.  It seems as though in some other situations, a second criteria for priority would be used in California when the time stamps were identical, but not in this particular instance.to post a reply: login - or - register
