Registers of Deeds Ask AGs to Look Into Damage to Land Title Records

Two Registers of Deeds who have been openly critical of MERS have sent a letter to the leader of the settlement negotiations between mortgage servicers and 50 state attorney generals, asking that Recorders have a seat at the negotiation table, and that the damage to land title records be considered in the settlement negotiations.
