The conference will be held at the Chateau LeMoyne, located in the city’s historic French Quarter. The attending title abstractors will have an opportunity on Friday evening to network with their fellow members at a welcome reception featuring complementary hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
The conference will kick off on Saturday morning with NALTEA business. The remainder of the conference is set to feature presentations relevant to the title industry, round table discussions, and review and testing for abstractor certification. Voting members will also elect three board members, each to serve a two-year term. The schedule will allow ample opportunity for attendees to visit the exposition room and explore the surroundings.
Registration for NALTEA members and others involved in the field of title abstracting is now open. For the convenience of its members, NALTEA now accepts registration and payment on line at http://www.naltea.org. Those who prefer to mail in the registration form with a check may download a registration form from the website.
NALTEA is also accepting applications from those interested in exhibiting in the exposition room during the conference. Vendors and associations with products and information relevant to the field of title abstracting may contact the Planning and Events Committee at info@naltea.org for more information.
NALTEA was founded in June 2004 when several committed and dedicated title examiners and abstractors recognized the need for unifying the industry’s members into their own national organization. NALTEA was the first organization developed to address the needs and concerns of those working in an often-overlooked arena of the real estate industry. Through its efforts, NALTEA’s members are improving their services and their products through extended marketability and improved industry standards, including the first national abstractor certification program.
