We once protected our shores from unfair foreign competition;  it was once the duty of our government to do so.  Now, they open "free trade" and abrogate this duty and attempt to stop people from other nations from coming here and contributing to our economic power.

This is in reverse of what made America great.   We once protected our ports from unfair competition, regulating what could go offshore.  We allowed foreigners of all ilks to arrive and contribute to the melting pot of American creativity. 

We now have it so backward that the People don't know which way to turn.  The scoundrels have won.
