The question that now begs to be asked:  Will every state be compelled to accept e-notarizations from VA if the "personal appearance" as defined in the other 49 states is not met?

Fortunately, last October, a bill in the House of Representatives was vetoed that would have required interstate acceptances of documents executed outside the receiving state's jurisdiction. 

If I were the document receiver, I would not want to accept a document executed with a waiver of the commonly accepted definition of "personal appearance".
