As part of our service, we prepare loan packages for closing, so I'm quite familiar with the new GFE HUD. Yes, all title fees are rolled into 1 number in the "calculations" column of the HUD, and are broken into 2 sub-categories ("title" and "settlement") off to the left in the description column. This is all the HUD creators require. The software which I use (SoftPro) allows all the individual costs, and specific provider/payee, to be listed and appear on an Addendum page. This program then generates a Disbursement Summary which lists every check to be written and to whom. Here, we under "settlement" the closing attorney , and my paralegal support fee, and overnight courier costs, and perhaps copy/fax costs. Under "title" will be the abstract/search, title insurance binder/commitment, and title insurance premium. The new HUD is a disaster, further confuses the borrowers and makes preparing for closing more time-consuming and less cost-effective. Inquire whether your clients have the ability to produce an Addendum, and then ask them to do so. Hope this helps.
