Robert Alvey is one of those guys who are unpopular for his messages. His message content can be offensive to some. His grammar and spelling can "turn off" others to his message before it ever reaches them. His attitude can raise emotions in others.
For me, I don't care about attitude and I'll look past grammar and such.
His message that other commercial forums exists to serve this community is interesting. As a business person, I would not suggest that any abstractor leaves this board as it is a fantastic forum.
The one thing about Mr. Alvey's content that is inaccurate in my view is that there is: "THERE IS NO USEFUL INFORMATION REGARDING TITLE SEARCHING ON THIS SITE". This is false as I've frequently posted blogs and forum replies about title matters regarding index flaws, search techniques, and abstract methodology that affects my area of the country. Perhaps my information is not useful to Mr. Alvey as he is either not researching in my area or already understands the information in my posts, in which case I defer to his opinion with regard to his personal experience, but will contend that this information could potentially be of use to others.
Regardless of this, as I am bemused to observe, his posts make him the target of other free speech, which is part of the great experience of our society. Say something and others will respond. LOL! It's like a Yakov Smirinoff joke: "America....what a country!"
Robert Franco: thank you for a grand forum of capitalism.
Robert Alvey: thank you for a funny exercise in a free society.
Colleagues: thank you all for great input, feedback and some tail chasing. i love you all.
