I see what you're both saying. My problem is that I know two examiners who have been hit with claims on their E&O due to Registry mistakes and the Registries don't assume any liability for their mistakes. I probably am overreacting to this, but I was beyond horrified to find out that someone had just made the decision to put papers on record without even looking to see if the envelope was addressed to them. I did end up doing an update to make sure that nothing went on from the date of the rundown to the erroneously done recording, but I didn't give them an update sheet.
