Yes.  I am not in favor of online records, either.  There are many reasons, e.g. repositories are not complete enough to do a thorough search, it inevitably leads to shoddy workmanship, it invites competition from outside the local area where those doing the searches don't have the expertise necessary, and everyone thinks that if the records are online a search should cost less, etc... 

Say hello to Sally for me... I haven't seen her in many years. I used to search in Knox county, back in the mid-1990's.
