Maria's post indicated that she was owed $1,600 for searches in October and November.  This doesn't seem unusual and it doesn't sound like she was lax in her collection efforts.  The searches done in October would have most likely been billed at the end of the month, NET30.  Thus, they wouldn't even be due until the end of November.  By the time she realized there was a payment problem (I assume) she had completed two months worth of work.

This is why I don't understand why abstractors put up with NET 60 payment policies.  By the time they realize there is a problem, they will be out 3 months of work!!
