That exact scenario is so maddening. The client has some collection of information, it is almost like a test... "Did they get them all?". I have found that scenario has mostly comes down to a misspelling, they somehow know about a recorded document that was accidentally recorded under JoHnson and not Jonson, and it then throws everyone into a tizzy. There is a broad array of resources to hopefully get around it but every so often we are just plain stumped and look like the bad guy.

Our staff does an impressively good job given the sheer quantity we are constantly handling and how quickly they are expected back. We have to handle this quantity in order to keep our doors open, we make very few errors and if we do, we immediately handle them and take corrective actions, etc.

I almost wish that we would get ALL of the data that our clients have so that we can verify and ensure that we give them a complete package. But that is simply not going to happen.

I appreciate that there are professionals that take their side of the work seriously and are meticulous. I have a lot of respect for your profession Charlene and abstractors alike. :)
