Very nice of you to take a second opportunity to call me paranoid, but your not name calling.........My clients ask for confidentiality, and thats what they get! The fact that I don't want someone to possibly take my contacts and cut me out completely is not paranoid, it's common sense. My references can be verified in many other ways besides that.

As far as sticking up for your clients....that's absolutely correct to do, I've done it right here myself.  You complain about being attached but you do the same thing. Respect my opinion, as I respect yours and post your comment without the personal shot.
