Hmmm that's surprising. I have requested old docs many a times on the county clerk for just $2.50/doc and they email it back once they scan it. However there is also an alternative title plant called "Title point" where you can get docs too for $2. I have access to Title Point, so if you would like, please let me know the document number and recorded date. I will see if I can get one for you. This is just a courtesy and no charges.
