I think it's a little premature to suggest that the legislature has failed just because some mortgage fraudster thinks he's come up with a new wrinkle to circumvent the intent of lawmakers and has gotten lucky somehow and avoided arrest for a longer period of time than he deserves.  

If the news report is accurate, this guy is a crook, and no technicality will make it otherwise, even if he manages to worm his way off the hook.  I'm all for his rights though, up to and including his right to free room and board in a secure government facility. 

Your unsupported claim that corporate tax evasion doesn't matter to me is nonsense, and I didn't "run crying" about the zero tax guy.  I just think he-- and those like him who try to get something for nothing at the expense of others-- are pathetic, and when a guy like that gets a couple years in prison to think it over, I consider that justice served and served well.  I will be similarly satisified if and when this particular mortgage fraudster meets a similar fate.
