good business practice would have indicated that you have a
"non-compete clause" signed with them. You are in business and
must consider all risks involved in having an employee. Wouldn't
you require non-family member employees to sign such an
agreement ? Many do not view that they need to "have protection"
from such things. The ole saying, "always have protection".
