Let me start with my standard disclaimer that I am not an attorney and that this post should not be taken or construed as legal advice.  The law in this area varies from state to state.  In Pennsylvania, judgments against one spouse do not attach to real property held in tenancy by the entireties except in cases where there is a divorce or one spouse has died.  I believe the one exception is Federal Tax Liens.  If memory serves, there was a test case a few years back in which a husband had some Federal Liens against him.  Needless to say, he was unsuccessful in challenging the IRS's claim.

Even so, it's still a good idea to try and limit your exposure by establishing a separate business entity and carrying sufficient insurance.
