I have recently advised my abstractors that I don't want them to get any copies of instruments which are recorded in the land records because I can access all of them on line for the most part. I just print what I may need from my workstation. The abstractor of course provides all necessary references on his lot/block sheet and his chain sheet, etc.,  The only copies I request now are from case files relating to foreclosures as these documents are not on line yet. This practice saves the abstractor time and saves me money.
