Sounds like sloppy work on someone's part.  Would this by a foreclosure mill, like the one's Slade referenced in his blog, Shoddy, C-Minus Foreclosure Work Not Cutting It? I think a part of the problem is the fee caps placed on foreclosure work by the government.  Much like title searches, when it comes to foreclsoures, you get what you pay for. 

Seems like this one is a real mess for someone.  Shoddy foreclsoure work certainly creates more work for real title people.  It is just something that we will have to deal with for a long time to come.
