Hi,

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.  I've been an independent O/G abstractor for 2.5 years and unfortunately, got laid off in the spring. There's a company that has a job, but informed me that I must have E & O insurance. I'm a little concerned that they're asking for this. Is this common practice, and if so, where should I go and about how much is it. As I said, currently, I'm unemployed, and I don't have or plan to have my own company,so why would I need this?
