Thank you so much for doing that research for me!  I have decided to go ahead and jump into the waters in DC. I am not a fan of learning under fire but my underwriter, Old Republic, has offered to "train" me in the nuances of underwriting in DC; as to closings and recordings,; from the research I have done I think that with the proper guidance I will be o.k.  Don't be surprised if you find me posting stupid questions though.  :)  The only real concern that I have is that I will be doing title clearance in advance of marketing foreclosure properties in DC, a well as title transfer of REO properties.   I am all to familier with this in Maryland, having specialized in this arena for the last 12 years. I am told that the foreclosure requirements in DC are not that much different.  Wish me some luck!!
