I just had a (big) client call me and ask if they were still allowed to subcontract out to abstractors because a lawyer somewhere had said something about that not being the case.  SOMEWHERE (I think it was here, but can't find the article) is an article that talked about real estate and some new law that some idiot was trying to pass, but it all got quashed.

Does anyone remember anything about this?  Can you point me to the article if it's here?
