George: I agree with John- Why jump through all their hoops when they messed up- just have them either send you a new legal ( or glue a new legle on the existing doc- , which is a poor way to to do it, but..)and a corrected check- and you just mail back their unused junk- and have them include a new "recording check for your time-( I suggest $50 for their incompetence and or just plain not doing their job correctly-teach them to be more on the ball- and you are holding their docs until they comply- eliminates that "other recored")
