Thank you. It does always seem to be harder to write when you know you have a limited amount of time. I could just hear the tick-tock of the clock and I had trouble recalling all of the buzz-words I had in my head, somewhere.
And, they did allow anyone who wanted to type the essays on the bar exam to use their laptop. However, in order to do so, you have to pay an additional fee (I think it was $110) to download special software. They also required waivers that stated that they were not responsible for any malfunctions and you wouldn't get any additional time if your computer crashed in the middle of an essay. Still I took the chance and typed mine. I write too slow and my handwriting is very hard to read (even for me). I'd guess that more than half used their laptops.
