I also have decided not to sign up w/Valunet. Having done work for USS for several years now & having found them to be pleasant and professional, I just can't wrap my arms around paying a finders fee & and keeping track of it all.  I wouldn't have time to type reports on a site either.  It crossed my mind too, that there could be overseas & online searchers signed up there, and I can't compete with those as I go to the courthouses for my work.  The whole idea of Valunet doesn't appeal to me at all as an abstractor & is way too impersonal for me.
