We print 150% of the maximum claim on the front of the mortgage, which is a HUD requirement. The concern is that this amount is not what was is initially advanced at closing. Since the the outstanding principal on this loan could reach any amount (in theory), I guess the safest way is to charge on the amount printed on the mortgage. We have calls into Department of Revenue for each state, and I will reply to this post on what we find out.
