Anita,
I am not berating a woman...only making a statement of fact. She was a beauty queen in the past if I am not mistaken. I am kind of mystified at what she brings to the table. ...mayor of a town owith less that 10,000 population...only 2 year's experience as governor of a state with less population than a small state the size of Connecticut. How much executive experience does she offer, or is it simply an appeal to the disappointed Hillary supporters? If McCain wanted a female running mate there were far better choices. As much as I can not wait for the current administration to end...someone like Condaleezza Rice would have been a more impressive choice.
Palin had very good speech writers at the convention. How much independent thought of her own was contained in the speech? Was she merely expressing the party line to spark McCain's lack luster campaign? As much as McCain tries to distance himself from the current administration...he was part of the Washington machine . Do we really need a continuation of the last eight years...a never ending and expensive war in Iraq...American lives lost chasing Bin Ladin from one cave to the next in Afghanistan/Pakistan for the past 7 years...an economy in shambles? She says she supports the troops, but wants an exit plan. Sounds much like Nixon's Vietnamization plan that lasted forever.
