I was involved in a conversation the other day with an area professional and we were discussing what we thought made up the “ideal client”. We spoke of the qualities that we would choose for them to have, if we had the ability to do so. Naturally, it got me to thinking about everyone here and about some of the comments posted on SOT.
We have all had our share of slow paying/non-paying clients. However we seldom mention all those clients that are paying on time and those who would not ever think about not paying for services and that I might add, are more than likely experiencing the same issues as everyone else is at this time. Those same companies that make every effort every month to do the right thing when they have requested our services.
Fortunately for us, most of our clients are title professionals that are ethical and pay when requested. We have a few who are slow to pay and fewer still that try and get out of it, with every excuse known to man.
A BIG THANK YOU goes out to our clients who fall into the first category. We appreciate it very much!
Abstractors/Title Examiners, What are your thoughts…
What do you look for in accepting work from new clients? What is on your list? Do you even have a list?
