A lot of my customers consider a current owner to be a search going back to a valid considerationthat is out of family. Before I agree to do the search, I check the chain of title and let them know whether their "current owner" search will be charged as a current owner, a 2-owner, a full search, or something in between, so that they (and we) know what we are getting into.
